Geography teachers use an extensive range of methodolgies to teach the syllabus. Despite media reports about Irish education, most rote learning is driven not by the curriculum but by the examination system.

Geography has such a breadth of content and skills that teachers are free to use many different approaches to deliver the syllabus. It's no wonder that geography is one of the most popular school subjects. Student's enjoy learning and researching about the earth and our place in it.  Students know that what they enjoy, they will be successful at.
